The camp is a large social event for the entire club of Trekanten and has over the years become increasingly international with talented fencers coming from Sweden, Germany, England, Egypt, Italy, the Netherlands, the United States and more.
The camp will offer instruction at all skill levels.
The summer camp consists mainly of fencing and physical training. We also emphasize technical preparation and all fencers can therefore receive lessons from the fencing masters and take part in numerous fencing drills.
The training sessions are led by the club’s own coaches together with a group of especially invited fencing masters from abroad:
Malte Trier Mørch
Head of foil fencing in Trekanten and overall responsible for the summer camp fencing program
Martin R. Kronwall
Coach from Fencing Club Gothenburg – partners on the planning of the fencing program
Former fencing master of Trekanten, currently head of French fencing master education a.o.
Stephane Le Bleis
Fencing master and head coach at CEP in Paris.
From Trekanten responsible for epee. Former Polish National team fencer
Ed Jeffries Former British national team fencer and coach in Shanghai.
Now Trekanten’s new sportschef, foil and epee coach.
And more to come… So stay tuned on our website www.trekanten.org
The camp offers many different courses. Some courses are only in Danish while others are in English. The program will be available in July.
The camp is held at Sakskøbing Sports Center, approximately one hour south of Copenhagen. The center has two large gymnasiums and a swimming hall. Shuttle transport to and from Copenhagen Central Station will be arranged
The fencers will be accommodated at the hostel next to the sports center. We also offer participation with no accommodation. Using this option Trekanten suggests Hotel Sakskøbing or Oreby Mølle.
Coaches are welcome to accompany their fencers to the camp. Ccoaches bringing 6 or more fencers to the camp get a 50% discount on the entry fee. Coaches bringing 8 or more fencers can stay at the camp for free. Coaches who receive a discount are expected to help out at the camp.
